Reset a Password in the Paylocity Mobile App


Use the following process to reset a user account within the Paylocity Mobile App:

  1. Select Forgot your password or company ID? on the Mobile App Login screen.
  2. Complete the following fields on the next screen.
    • Company ID
    • Username
    • Email or a phone number attached to the employee profile or user account
  3. Select Continue. A One-Time Passcode distributes via the previously selected delivery method.
  4. Enter the One-Time Passcode. If a One-Time Passcode is not received, confirm with a Company Administrator that a valid email address and phone number are present in HR & Payroll.
  5. Select Continue.
  6. Choose a new password.
    • A recently used password cannot get used again.
    • The password must meet three of the four requirements:
      • A number
      • An uppercase letter
      • A lowercase letter
      • A non-alphanumeric character, such as# or!
  7. Select Finish, completing the password reset process. Once completed, the app login screen displays.

 

 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • The user's preferred phone and email are necessary on the employee profile for resetting a password.
  • Users cannot reset Challenge Questions and Answers on the mobile app.
    • This must be done through the website.
    • If no Challenge Questions and Answers exist for the user, they are able to configure them through the mobile app.
